Jack Gerbel /President and Founder

Jack has one of the most acknowledged and respected reputations of any leader working in the election services industry today. A pioneer in leading the way for more advanced voting technology, Mr. Gerbel, (having managed and conducted thousands of elections), recognized the need to provide more accurate, easy to use, secure voting technology for voters and the physically handicapped. Jack and his team designed, championed and brought to market the very first touch screen voting system. That voting system, with its unique software and architectural design that does not require the use of security compromised and problematic Smartcards, or PEB cartridges, has earned a reputation amongst voting experts as being the easiest to use for both the poll workers and voters and for being the most secure product on the market.

Having begun his career in elections with IBM’s premier Election Division, Mr. Gerbel left IBM to start his own company Computer Election Systems. CES grew under his leadership to become the largest voting equipment vendor both domestically and internationally. Historically, Jack has been responsible for some of the largest voting system implementation projects in the country, including Cook County and the City of Chicago accommodating at that time over 5 million registered voters. Jack is actively involved in the growth of UniLect™ and continues to be dedicated to assisting election officials, in their quest to make the election process a more rewarding experience for their poll workers, constituency and voting members.
